Carrara Dickens Fellowship

The Carrara Branch of the Dickens Fellowship was founded thanks to the effort of Marzia Dati, Elena Belligi, Sara Marcuccetti and Katherine Hutton Mezzacappa, in remembrance of Dickens’s stay in Carrara in January 1845.  The Branch was officially recognised by the head office of the Fellowship in London in October 2013.  The Carrara Branch at present has 40 members and promotes the reading of Dickens’s writing, as well as the study in a broader context of English language and literature via conferences and meetings.  Branch meetings take place at the Fellowship centre at 41 Via Carriona in Carrara at 5.30p.m. on the last Sunday of the month from September to June, and are open to all residents of Carrara and district.
